Specialize your degree with a local/urban management certificate. Students who already hold Regular status and are pursuing a graduate degree will need approval from their program director and adherence to the College of Graduate Studies policies. The certificate program consists of 12 credit hours.

Designed for students who are underrepresented in medicine and interested in a career in urban primary care, this certificate program gives you the foundation to gain acceptance to, and ultimately excel in medical school. Students who are admitted to the program complete an undergraduate Urban Health Certificate (minimum of 19 credits including eight credits of urban health, eight credits of clinical science and three credits of professional development courses) while also completing the science prerequisites needed for medical school.

Engage in faculty research and gain hands-on experience in school-based intervention practices and social competence promotion. Upon graduation, you will be eligible for school psychologist credentials from the Ohio Department of Education and the Nationally Certified School Psychologist designation.

Learn to analyze the problems of urban areas, develop solutions, build in more sustainable ways, explore policy issues and understand the social context of environmental conflicts. Customize your degree with specialty tracks in Environmental Planning and Sustainable Development or Environmental Management. Develop the analytical and management skills applicable to employment in the public, private and nonprofit sectors.
